Only nine three-year-old trotting colts were entered today for the OSS Gold elimination scheduled to be contested on Wednesday, October 22 at Windsor Raceway.
The OSS rules state that if there are not more horses entered in the elimination than can compete in the final, the elim will be cancelled and all horses will be considered declared directly into the final to be held the following week.
Therefore, the Gold elimination for three-year-old trotting colts scheduled for October 22 at Windsor Raceway is cancelled. The $40,000 purse for the Gold elimination, as well as the $20,000 purse for the consolation, will be added to the regular purse for the final, making a total Gold final purse for this event $180,000.
The Gold final will be held Wednesday, October 29 as scheduled and the post positions will be available on Wednesday, October 22, the day the final would normally have been drawn.
