The BC Standardbred Association and Fraser Downs have added a new claiming series to the November racing calendar.
The Spartacus Claiming Series commences on November 1, 2008.
The first leg carries a purse of $7,000 per division and is for horses and geldings to be claimed for $8,000 plus allowances. A $200 declaration is due at time of entry.
The second leg, November 8, 2008, carries a purse of $8,500 per division and is for horses and geldings to be claimed for $10,000 plus allowances. A $200 declaration is due at time of entry.
The top 9 money winners from the legs will advance to the $20,000 final at Fraser Downs on November 15, 2008.
Horses must race in both legs to be eligible for the final. There will be no claiming in the final. Declarations for the final will be accepted from the top nine money winners. The next highest money winner will be an also eligible.
