Kawartha Downs will be hosting 'Think Pink' Night At The Races on Saturday, October 18, a fundraising evening in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, but the action will get started on Tuesday afternoon.
For the second consecutive year, Kawartha Downs' backstretch superintendent, Bonnie Hedges, will be providing lunch for everyone in the drivers' room. For a donation, all horsemen and women will be able dine on a great homemade lunch featuring chili, sandwiches, brownies, banana bread and butter tarts along with a beverage.
Along with lunch, Hedges will hold a draw where two pairs of tickets to a skybox for an Ottawa Senators game will be given away. Tickets are only $10 to enter.
All money raised from the lunch and draws will be donated to the CBCF.
