Crapaud Agriplex To Host First Ever Horse Sale

Published: October 17, 2008 10:20 am EDT

The Crapaud Agriplex has hosted a number of equestrian events this year, but Saturday marks its first-ever horse sale. Situated behind the Crapaud rink, the barn, with 40 spacious stalls, is surrounded by outdoor exercise and show rings, neatly arranged and caringly maintained by a volunteer committee and managed by Gerald Dixon of Crapaud.

"We are pleased to put on a horse sale here" noted Dixon, "as we hope to develop the Agriplex as a focus for the exhibition and competition of all horse breeds, not only from PEI but from around the Maritimes. We have a second stable being constructed and are hopeful we can be the venue for future sales such as the Atlantic Classic Yearling sale as well as see the Island Standardbred Mixed Sale on a regular basis."

The sale will begin at 1:00 p.m.
