Official Rules
1. Participants are required to select 10 yearlings from the online catalogue. If more than 10 horses are selected, the first ten horses in numeric order will be accepted as the official entry.
2. The person who chooses the “stable” of yearlings that brings the highest total collection of bids at the Canadian Yearling Sale on September 10 and 11 at Flamboro Downs wins a spot in the Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship on November 12, 2011 at Western Fair District.
3. Sale “outs” will be awarded the sale average.
4. RNA’s (Reserve Not Attained) will be awarded the final bid.
5. In the event of a tie, the person with the single highest priced yearling wins.
6. If there is still a tie the person with the second highest yearling price will be declared the winner.
7. If there is still a tie the participant with the third highest yearling price will be declared the winner.
8. If there is still a tie then the contest officials will hold a random draw between the participants.
9. Must be a Canadian resident over 18 years of age to enter
10. Board members, directors and employees of Standardbred Canada, Western Fair District and their immediate family are not eligible to participate.
11. Contest is open to Canadian residents only.
12. Limit one entry per person.
13. Contest closes Saturday, September 10, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
Grand Prize Information
The Winner will receive entry to the TCNHC (November 12, 2011) which will include:
- Accommodations at the Hilton Hotel, London, ON
- Competitor Brunch and Dinner
- Transportation to and from Western Fair District on the night of the Championship
Please note:
Winner must provide own transportation to the Championship. Airfare/travel expenses are not included in prize
Prize is non-transferable
If the winner is unable to participate in the TCNHC, the Grand Prize may be awarded to the second place finisher
Championship Officials
Each Participant agrees to abide by all published tournament rules and regulations. In the event of a dispute, Officials of the Championship will render a decision in their sole discretion. All players abide by and agree that the decision of the Officials is final. The Officials have the right to disqualify any participant who has violated any of the rules and regulations.
Standardbred Canada (SC) reserves the right to add, delete, amend or change any portion of the contest rules and regulations.   SC also reserves the right to cancel the contest for any reason.
