Applications for a trio of late closing series for the 2008 holiday harness meet are now available on the Meadowlands' website.
Nominations close on October 15 for the Charles Singer Memorial (December 5 final), Oil Burner (December 20) and Snow Angel (December 20). All three events are for three-year-olds who are non-winners of three or $75,000 lifetime.
The Singer Memorial is for trotting colts and geldings, while the Oil Burner (colts) and Snow Angel (fillies) are for pacers. Each series consists of two preliminary legs that determine the field for a $50,000 (estimated) final.
