WEG Unveils Cash Card

Woodbine Entertainment is offering horseplayers a new way to place their bets!

The HorsePlayer Cash Card provides customers wagering at self-serve terminals at Woodbine, Mohawk, Greenwood or any Champions teletheatre with a PIN-protected, paperless alternative to the traditional cash voucher.

Unlike a voucher, the Cash Card functions like a HorsePlayer account, allowing the user to earn points on every wager. Depending on how much is wagered over a week, a more frequent Cash Card user is also eligible to earn additional cash-back through the TOA rewards program. All of the cash rewards are automatically deposited in the Cash Card account on a weekly basis.

The Cash Card is different from a traditional HorsePlayer Interactive account in that the holder doesn't need to submit any personal information to acquire the card. So, seconds after requesting the Cash Card, a bettor can be at the windows placing their first wager.

The Cash Card can be used at Woodbine, Mohawk, Greenwood or any Champions teletheatre but a full HPI account is still required to wager through the internet and phone due to federal regulations on account holder information.

“This initiative gives racing fans at our facilities the ability to anonymously enjoy the benefits of account wagering with full rewards, ticket-less wagering and the assurance of automatically receiving all refunds and winnings,” said Sean Pinsonneault, Vice President of Wagering Services for WEG. “The sign up is simple and quick with no personal information required and with the rate in which the cards are being picked up so far, customers are quickly realizing the value that this card brings to their betting experience.”

Cash Cards are currently available at any Champions teletheatre location and at the Players Services desk at Woodbine and Greenwood.
