With snow and rain again causing unsafe track conditions, Fraser Downs has canceled its Saturday and Sunday cards of racing.
"I am new to Fraser Downs myself, but all of the oldtimers around the track tell me they have never seen snow like this before," Jackson Wittup, Fraser Downs' Race Secretary, told Trot Insider this afternoon. "It is now just above freezing with rain and with all of the snow that has been bladed there is no where for the water to go. We are hoping for a gradual increase in the temperature and some time to work on the track and get back racing January 1st."
