The past week started out well, although a bit on the cold side and Shadow did get a 2:01 mile in on Wednesday at home. However, when Saturday came, guess what was on the ground early in the morning? Yes, more of that "s" stuff and with it, muddy tracks. I think I will name my next colt Global Warming, because it sure seems to have bypassed us here on the east coast this year.
As I write tonight though, the sun was out this evening (at 1 degree) and as of right now, my track is listed as fast, so we might get another training in tomorrow (so much for Sundays off). Some serious training miles should occur from here on in though, and I will have to spread out the training sessions now. About 3 weeks to qualifying time. I have a new race harness all ready for him.
