A Tuesday of Terrors

On Tuesday we were supposed to go on a boat tour...well, everyone else did. Sam and I stayed back and tried to recuperate from the pizza the night before

as I really wasn't feeling well. My parents went and said it was beautiful and enjoyable but to me just the thought of not feeling well already and then bouncing around in a boat would turn my stomach.

Before we headed to the airport we stopped at the track to watch car racing, or so I thought. But again, I thought wrong. They brought them in for a special treat for all drivers. My first thought was, no, too sick, so I sat in the bus. Next thing you heard the actual rally car coming, the sounds you could here coming from a mile before they got there, vroommmm vrommmmmm vrommmm. Then on the track they came, flying at - believe it or not - over 120 miles a hour, and that was the slow one, I'm not kidding.

So, sick or not, I wasn't giving up this once-in-a lifetime opportunity to drive in a real rally car. A spin is certainly what it was we flew around the track, just imagine going over 120 miles a hour around a racetrack. Too bad I never had Depends on, my driver Tom was giving me that who farted look!!!!! Just wish my horses could get around as good as this car.

Sam went after me and after watching her car go I felt like I had been on a coldblood with her on a standardbred. Her car went 150 miles per hour, don't believe me, I have video of it! Maybe they might show some of it if we send it in.

We then received some souvenirs of our stay there and we headed to catch our flight. Only a 40 minute flight and we were back in Oslo. I still wasn't feeling well so Sam walked me down to the hospital. My God, what a long walk. I felt like a smurf asking "are we there yet, Papa Smurf?" It worked out well, very friendly and they fixed me up quite well. Even the hospitality at the hospital was amazing, sounds weird but true, they were so friendly and helpful - kind of an unreal feeling for a hospital.

Then we were craving TGI Fridays so we hopped on a trolley car and then a guy riding a pedal bike took us the rest of the way after Sam bargained with him. I thought we were going to be killed going down the hill! (I think he was getting us back.) The funny thing is we finally got there and it was closed. Only by three minutes. So we had to walk back up the hill to Burger King which we had to gulp down cause they were closing in 10 minutes.

We got back to the hotel and I was longing for a good night sleep but now in this particular hotel my Mom and Dad had to stay with us, so Sam and my Mom and Dad started in!!! Some people call it sawing wood, some say just snoring! Me. I call it annoying. Big time!!!! Dad's snoring sounded like a wolf growling over his supper, Mom sounded like a whale blowing her top, Sam shouts out words that my mother shouldn't hear! And loud! Then Mom jumps up, shouting "what's wrong?" No one answered. She huffs then dad says "what's your problem, Margie?" "Go to sleep Bob!!!!!" I almost took my blanket and pillow to the bathroom, but I was laughing at the three of them. A couple of times it seemed like they were having conversations with each other while sleeping so needless to say I didn't get much sleep.
