Multiple divisions of the Lady Slipper Stakes will be featured on Red Shores’ Thursday (September 10) program of live racing at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The 12-dash card will kick off with a 7 p.m. first-race post time. The program will feature a total of five Lady Slipper divisions for two and three-year-old trotters. A pair of third-leg divisions of the Atlantic Aged Pacing Mares Series is also on the docket.

Summerside Raceway track record holder Time Warp has drawn Post 3 in Race 1, which is the first of three $6,000 Lady Slipper divisions for two-year-old trotters. Danny MacDonald trains and drives the Neal filly for owners Boyd MacDonald Produce of Crapaud, Daniel Ross of Belfast, Brian Andrew of Milton and William Andrew of Calgary.

The second split (Race 2) features Cardigan Jack as the morning line choice. Cardigan Jack will start from Post 1 for driver Brian MacPhee, trainer Paul Morrison and owners John and Barbara Breau of New Brunswick.

Race 7 is the final two-year-old trot division. The undefeated High Bid will start from Post 3, fresh off his new track record at Inverness Raceway in Nova Scotia. Walter Cheverie has gotten the driving call for owner-trainer Joe Smallwood of Stratford.

The first of two Lady Slipper divisions for three-year-old trotters will head behind the gate for Race 5. Paymenowpaymelater will start from Post 2 for driver Marc Campbell, trainer Earl Watts and owner Wade Peconi of Stanchel.

The final Lady Slipper division (Race 9) will feature divisional leader JK Blaze, who has been favoured early. ‘Blaze’ will start from Post 5 for driver Cheverie and owner-trainer Smallwood against six rivals.
