Hawthorne Race Course is inviting fans to ‘own a horse’ by entering to win the ‘Fantasy Own a Horse’ contest.
Fans will enter to win the opportunity to experience the excitement of being a horse owner for one night with a chance to win a portion of the purse money earned by that horse.
The contest will take place on Saturday, September 16 at 5:00 p.m. at Hawthorne Race Course located at 3501 S. Laramie Ave. The contest is now open and participants can enter to win at Hawthorne Facebook Contest Page.
"There are many perks to owning a horse. Nothing beats the heart pounding excitement of watching your horse compete in a live race,” said President and General Manager, Tim Carey. “Of course, aside from the significant time commitment to being a horse owner, there are many financial responsibilities. This contest gives our fans the opportunity to not only walk the grandstands of Hawthorne Race Course as an owner, but to experience a race as an owner."
Participants are invited to enter to win on Facebook by providing their name, email address, and phone number. Four participants will be randomly selected as winners by September 11. Winners and their guests will be invited to Hawthorne Race Course to receive VIP treatment.
The ‘Fantasy Own A Horse’ winners will pick their favourite horse to win upon arrival and watch from the rails as ‘their’ horse races for a chance to win a portion of the purse money.
