Published: September 4, 2019 11:18 am EDT

With his regular driver out of town, Tequila Tuesday will battle fellow juvenile trotters Thursday evening (Sept. 5) at Red Shores’ Charlottetown Driving Park in the $18,700 Blair Andrew Memorial.

The 12-dash Thursday card will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and the Blair Andrew Memorial will line up for Race 4.

Tequila Tuesday has been installed as the morning line choice and will start from Post 5. Jason Hughes will be in the race bike on Thursday due to the absence of regular driver Myles Heffernan Sr. The son of Armbro Barrister will look to add to his $18,856 in seasonal earnings for trainer Myles Heffernan Jr. and owner Jackie Heffernan of Summerville.

Westview Star will start from the rail in the seven-horse tilt and Corey MacPherson will be at the controls for trainer Stephen Gass. Mykindofparty, who recorded his first lifetime win in stakes action last week, has drawn Post 2 and will host Gary Chappell in the sulky.

The field also features Sailing Home (to be driven by Adam Merner), Incredible Hally (Marc Campbell), Go With Her (Kuri White), and Mack Truck (Gilles Barrieau).

The $2,350 Open Trot has been carded as Race 8. Freddie, who was a winner at this level in his last start, is scheduled to start from Post 7 for trainer-driver Campbell and owner Three Wisemen Stable of Kingston. Majian Gilroy sports an impeccable record of five wins and two seconds from nine seasonal starts. Jim Ripley will drive Majian Gilroy from Post 4. Star Photo has drawn Post 6 and is heading into the top trot with three consecutive top-three finishes for driver Hughes.

The top pace of the evening has been slotted as the final race on the program (Race 12) and will feature seven pacing mares competing for a $2,300 purse. One Hot Camshaft has been pegged as the morning line favourite for driver Ken Murphy, co-owner and trainer Frank Hansen and co-owner Curtis Hansen of Tyne Valley. The daughter of Camshaft Hanover drops out of the Fillies and Mares Open this week. Imagine Speed will start from the rail and will have Hughes at her lines, while Julep Hanover will start from Post 6 for driver Wade Myers.
