Five two-year-old pacing colts were entered today (Tuesday) for the OSS Gold elimination scheduled to be contested on Saturday, September 8 at Flamboro Downs.
The OSS rules state that if there are not more horses entered in the elimination than can compete in the final, the elimination will be cancelled and all horses will be considered declared directly into the final to be held the following week. Therefore, the Gold elimination for two-year-old pacing colts scheduled for September 8 at Flamboro Downs is cancelled.
The Gold final will be held on Saturday, September 15 as scheduled, and the post positions will be drawn on Saturday, September 8 when the final would normally have been drawn.
According to OSS rules concerning the points for the Super Final, the 100 points from the cancelled elimination will be distributed equally between the five horses that entered the event.
