OHHA Clarifies Insurance Benefit Questions

The Ontario Harness Horse Association (OHHA) would like to inform the membership that the third party liability insurance remains valid for all members of the Association

.

This policy covers all OHHA members at any licensed racetrack in Ontario. There is no requirement to have any other additional insurance at any Ontario racetrack. All other policies and programs administered by OHHA, including insurance and benefits remain in full effect.

"There have been some public misconceptions brought to my attention that OHHA insurance is no longer valid at WEG and that you need to be a COSA member to race at WEG - both of which are false," said OHHA President Darryl MacArthur. "I have had calls from as far away as Belleville and Sudbury, and several local people racing at WEG asking me about this."

MacArthur stressed two additional points.

1) OHHA and all of our programs are alive and well and our liability insurance covers all of our members at all Ontario tracks.

2) Membership in COSA is not mandatory to race at WEG just as membership in OHHA was never a requirement.
