Ontario horsepeople are reminded that the Six Nations Agricultural Society will be hosting a card of live racing this Saturday (Sept. 7) during the fall fair in Ohsweken. If you plan on entering your horse to race, you’d better do so quickly.
The card will feature a 1 p.m. post time. Entries will close on Wednesday (Sept. 4) at noon. Entries will be taken by racing secretary Sheri Minler-Grabatin at 1-866-774-6442 or 905-854-6442.
Purses for the races during the program are slated to be $2,000 per dash and there will be a maximum of five horses per race. Depending on entries, between four and six races will be featured during the program, which will have pari-mutuel wagering available. Special presentations will be made to all participants.
Trot Insider was recently informed that a free 2020 breeding to successful Ontario pacing sire Dali (p1:48.2f $1,436,363) will be offered to the winner of the upcoming Matchmaker Pace, which is scheduled to be contested during the card. For complete details, click here.
