The Race Track Industry Program today announced the United States Trotting Association’s support and commitment as the first sponsor, and judge, of this year’s inaugural Innovators’ Circle pitch competition.
The event, held at the Global Symposium on Racing & Gaming, showcases participants pitching their innovative ideas and/or products to top executives in the racing and gaming world. The winning participants earn cash prizes.
The contest website (innovateracing.com) provides a background on the contest, educational tools to educate those from other industries who wish to participate and instructions on how to enter.
“The USTA is excited to help sponsor the Innovators’ Circle,” said US Trotting Association Executive Vice President / CEO Mike Tanner. “Getting together a group of competitive, bright, motivated entrepreneurs to brainstorm new ideas and products for the industry hasn’t been done before, and the upside should be apparent to everyone. Kudos to the Race Track Industry Program for making this happen. I’m hoping that we’re merely the first of several industry groups that will jump in to support this program.”
“Since the launch of the website just over a month ago, there has been a strong amount of interest in the contest; we are very pleased with the initial response,” said RTIP Director, Doug Reed.
The 42nd annual Global Symposium on Racing & Gaming will be held at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, in Tucson, Arizona, December 7-9.
