The track recently suffered flooding at the hands of Hurricane Igor, but race secretary Jim Hare has clarified that the track will be ready for the Sunday program.

"I just left the track and met with Brett and Jim Whelan," Hare explained. "[The] track surface has been repaired and we are good to go for Sunday. Also, I just got a message from Keith Gowan, the president of the horsemen's association, confirming we are good for Sunday, October 3."

The NLSBA/SC filly stakes is for two and three-year-old pacing and trotting fillies that are 100 per cent Newfoundland owned as of February 15, 2010.

When Trot Insider receives more information as to when the NLSBA/SC filly stakes is to be contested, it will be published on this website.
