Mike ‘Angus’ Short Passes

Trot Insider has learned that longtime Fraser Downs trainer/driver Mike ‘Angus’ Short recently passed away at the age of 43.

Short, a resident of Surrey that was a well known member of the local racing community, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 15.

Angus, who has been active in the local industry for roughly two decades, is survived by his daughter, Alyssa Short.

Trot Insider has learned that there will be a celebration of Short’s life this coming Sunday (October 1) at 6:00 p.m. at the Sunrise Golf Course & Pub, which is located at 188 St., No. 10 Bypass, in Surrey.
