Families To Be Honored During ABC

The Atlantic Breeders Crown Host Committee is pleased to announce the four Atlantic Canadian harness racing families who will be honoured for their achievements and contributions to the industry.

The families will be honoured during the upcoming Atlantic Breeders Crown Weekend at Red Shores’ Charlottetown Driving Park on October 12-13th.

The Gass family from Cornwall, PE will be recognized for their long association with harness racing.

From New Brunswick, the family of the late Albert Belliveau from Memramcook will be recognized for their century-long involvement and many achievements.

The Merner family will be honoured from Newfoundland and Labrador while the family of the late Eddie Ellis of Truro, Nova Scotia, will be recognized for their 70-plus years of involvement.

Presentations to each of the four families will take place at the Atlantic Breeders Crown banquet at the ‘Top of the Park’ at the CDP on Saturday, October 12.

Memorabilia from each the four families will be on display in the ‘Memory Lane’ area at the CDP.
