Hanover Raceway wraps up its 2016 season on Saturday night with an 11-race card.
Fans can help recognize this year’s top trainers, drivers and horses as the track hands out trophies in between the races including the A B Fleishauer Horse of the Year award.
Fans also have one more chance to enter for the nightly and season-ending prizes. This year’s final night prize is awesome. Special thanks to HDTV in Walkerton for an amazing 55'' Sony Android TV which will be awarded before Race 10. This is even better than a regular high-definition TV and must be seen to be appreciated.
Hanover will also award its two Lazy Boy Chairs in the Best Seats in the House contest courtesy of Smitty’s Fine Furniture in Hanover.
The Hanover Barons, former Ontario Championship Jr C hockey team will also be on hand this Saturday. The 2016-17 team will be conducting a 50-50 draw and will sponsor Race Nine.
A heads up for fans and horsepeople heading to Hanover on Saturday. The International Plowing Match is being hosted on a farm just outside Harriston on 109 so expect heavier than normal traffic.
