Horace ‘Tubby’ Realffe Passes

Trot Insider has learned that horse owner Horace ‘Tubby’ Realffe passed away on September 16 after a courageous battle at the B.M.P Hospital at the age 90.

Tubby was the husband of the late Irene Capsey, a lifetime resident of Stanbridge East, Quebec.

Tubby leaves to mourn his children, Judy (late Butch Mills), Horace ‘Tim’ (Pamela), Margaret (Al) and Carol (Jim); his grandchildren, Justin (Heather), Ashley (Colter), Robbie, Shawn (Erica), Alisha (Paul), Rena (Tom), Lyndsey and Derek; his great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Tristin, Dylan and Morgan. He also leaves to mourn his longtime friends, Joyce Lamothe and René Lamothe, his brother David, sister Vallance, sister-in-laws Violet and Denise and many others relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences at the Brome- Missisquoi Funeral Complex, 215 rue Rivière, Bedford, Quebec (450-248-2911) on Saturday, September 28 at 9:30 a.m., followed by a service in his memory at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

A private burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stanbridge East Sports Association (SESA) or to the BMP Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
