Special Fair Cards Set For London

Western Fair Raceway will present three special cards of racing during the annual Western Fair in order to introduce those on hand for the very popular annual fair to harness racing

.

“We’re excited about this opportunity to expose a lot of new people to racing,” explained racing manager Ian Fleming. “We don’t expect high wagering but it’s a great way to introduce newcomers to the sport.”

Frank Salive will announce the three race cards with a 6:30 p.m. post time on September 13, 14 and 15 and will conduct interviews in the stands between races. The Standardbred Canada WannaBet team will be on site with games, contests, tip sheets and Superpacks. The Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society will have a few Celebrity horses as well as some miniature horses on hand as well.

In addition, there will be a free race program at the gate for adults 18 and up. Note that Fair admission is required to get on to the grounds.

Western Fair’s fall meet starts Friday, October 15 with exciting Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots semifinal action on both Friday and Saturday nights, along with the Forest City Pace eliminations on Saturday evening.
