Tom Andrus and Brad Lichty were crowned the masters of the $1,000 Geek Squad Summer Championship at Grand River Raceway on Tuesday night
.
The two finalists were gridlocked in the Geek Squad Spelling Bee - the final test of the seven-round competition. After correctly spelling more than a dozen tricky horse names, a winner was still not established. Andrus and Lichty requested a dead-heat status and an equal split of the $1,000 grand prize.
The next Geek Squad Championship takes place at the Elora, ON track on October 22, when qualifiers will compete for the top prize of a trip for two to Las Vegas.
