A tricky Pick 4 sequence on Saturday evening (August 8) resulted in no winning tickets, and a large $6,892 carryover into the Sunday evening card at The Red Mile.
Track officials, in conjunction with the USTA’s Strategic Wagering Program, have placed a guarantee of $25,000 on Sunday night’s total Pick 4 pool. The Pick 4 is a nightly wager offered on races seven through 10, featuring a $1 minimum.
As an appetizer to the big Pick 4, fans will also want to note a $663 carryover into the Pick 5. The Pick 5 is a nightly wager offered on races two through six, featuring a 50-cent minimum.
Sunday night will also feature the opening leg of the Kentucky Sires Stakes, with eight divisions on the program worth $15,000 each. The youngsters will be trying to earn points to make it into the KYSS finals coming up on August 30, one of the highlights of the meet with over $1.4 million in total purses.
