Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park and the Prince Edward Island Harness Racing Industry Association will add a race card on Saturday, Aug. 22 with post time at 12:30 p.m. (ADT).
The addition of this race card was necessary to accommodate an increase in horse population. The program will feature Grassroots divisions of the Joe O’Brien Stakes.
Fans can enjoy the afternoon card from the grandstand, the Red’s Gold Cup pre-party and tarmac amenities. The Top of the Park and Trackside Tent will remain closed to allow set up for the evening program.
The program will lead off the first half of the double header with the second half featuring the 67th running of the $100,000 Gold Cup & Saucer presented by Atlantic Lottery. First race post time is 5 p.m. (ADT).
