Red Shores has announced details regarding the 2020 Confederation Mares Invitational Series, which is for fillies and mares aged three years old and older. The Charlottetown Driving Park is scheduled to host eliminations on August 15 and 17, and a consolation and final on August 22.
The stakes event does not carry a nominating or starting fee and there are no allowances for age. It is required that the fillies and mares have made a minimum of two pari-mutuel starts within the Maritimes in 2020 before declaration date in order to be eligible.
Each of the eliminations will carry purses of $3,000, while the consolation and final will be raced for $4,000 and $8,000, respectively.
The series is in honour of Dr. Bob Webster and is sponsored by the City of Charlottetown.
