.

Mike Chambrello, president and COO of Scientific Games, which is a leading worldwide provider of wagering services in more than 60 countries, says Sci Games
and Brandywine will provide communications monitoring, sports book risk management and accounting services for the lottery sports wagering operation.

Brandywine LLC is an independent race and sports book management company that operates 11 Lucky’s sports books in Nevada. When operational, Delaware will be the only state east of the Rocky Mountains where sports betting is permitted, having been grandfathered in 1992 because of its earlier sports betting in the 1970s.

Delaware sports betting will be available within a two-hour drive of New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Boston, with a combined population of some 30 million. Delaware also announced it had retained the Wilmington law firm of Bouchard Margules and Friedlander to represent it in the lawsuit brought by the nation’s four major sports leagues -- the NFL, NBA, NHL and Major League Baseball -- and the NCAA, which are challenging the constitutionality of Delaware sports betting.
