Officials with the Hiawatha Horse Park have informed Trot Insider of some upcoming promotional events that will be taking place over the course of the next couple of weekends at the Sarnia, Ont. raceway.
The Hiawatha Horse Park is proud to host the Sarnia Rib Fest, which will take place from Friday, September 1 through Sunday, September 3. The ribfest will feature the best rib teams in North America. There will be a craft-beer market, live bands, a kids' zone, outdoor games and contests. The ribfest events will take place on Friday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.; on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
This Saturday (September 2) will be Loonie/ Toonie Night at Hiawatha, which will also offer a ten-race program that is set to kick off at 6:30 p.m. To view the entries, click here.
Saturday, September 9 will be Children's Day at Hiawatha. There will be draws, games, a colouring contest, and the ‘Wanna Drive a racehorse’ promotion between 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Proceeds will go to Noelle's Gift. Hiawatha will also host a live card of harness racing on September 9. First-race post time will be 6:30 p.m.
