The contents of a letter sent out by Lisa MacLeod encouraging members of the horse-racing industry to be present at Thursday's Queen's Park rally appear below.
Thank you for your support of my private members resolution calling for the Auditor General to review the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporations new gaming plans and to call for a municipal referendum if new casinos are built.
Hundreds of supporters have joined my campaign asking how they can help! Here's how:
Join us at Queen's Park for a Rally on Thursday, August 30 at NOON on the front lawn of Queen's Park.
Call or write to your Liberal and NDP MPPs and ask them to join the Ontario PC Caucus to support this private members motion (you can find Ontario MPP's here: www.ontla.on.ca) Spread the word!
The radical shift in gaming proposed by the OLG needs to be reviewed by the Auditor General for its impacts on mental health and addictions, its devastating effect on the horse-racing industry, and its overall revenue and expenditure projections.
Your support is important. And I hope to see you this Thursday at noon at Queen's Park.
