Hambletonian winner Pinkman and last season’s New York Sire Stakes champion, Crazy Wow, lead a list of 11 three-year-olds that have been entered to contest the eliminations for the $500,000 Yonkers Trot.
The 61st edition of Yonkers Raceway’s premier trotting event will offer a pair of $40,000 elimination races this Saturday night (August 29). The top four finishers from each elimination will advance to the $500,000 final, which is scheduled to be raced on Saturday, September 5.

The connections of eight horses declared to contest the 60th edition of the $500,000 Messenger Stakes. The Messenger will now be a ‘one-dash-for-the-cash event’ since eliminations are not necessary. The Messenger will also be raced on Saturday, September 5.

Both stakes serves as the second jewels in their respective gaits Triple Crowns.
Yonkers’ Saturday, August 29 card of racing will also feature two stakes finals for three-year-old distaffers – the $149,240 Hudson (Race 6) and $116,430 Lady Maud (Race 7) for trotters and pacers, respectively.
Post time for Saturday’s 13-race card is the usual 7:10 p.m.
