The names of 11 three-year-old pacing colts were dropped in Tioga Downs' entry box on Thursday morning in order to contest the Cane Pace, the first jewel of harness racing’s Pacing Triple Crown.
A single $107,572 elimination which will feature a field of nine will take place at Tioga on Sunday, August 26. The connections of A Rocknroll Dance and Time To Roll accepted byes to the final. The connections of Pet Rock, who paid $35,000 to supplement to the Cane Pace, were offered a bye to the final, but the horse's connections opted to race in the elimination. First-race post time for the card is 6:50 p.m.
Two other supplemental entries were received in the Tioga Downs’ race office Thursday morning from the connections of Heston Blue Chip and State Treasurer.
The field of nine --- which appears below --- will head to the post for Race 9 on Sunday night at Tioga Downs. The top seven finishers will join A Rocknroll Dance, and Time To Roll in the $322,716 final of the Cane Pace, which will be contested Monday, September 3 at Tioga (Post time 1:30 pm).

Also highlighting the Sunday night racing card at Tioga Downs is a $40,000 leg of the Miss Versatility Trotting Series, which drew a field of eight, including Magic Wheel, Pembroke Heat Wave, Uffra Girl, Pantholops, Unefoisdansmavie, Cedar Dove, Action Broadway and Beatgoeson Hanover.
