Currently in the midst of a four-race winning streak, Natural Herbie will be among the headliners making the trek to Georgian Downs this weekend for the $100,000 Honourable Earl Rowe Memorial Trot.

The rich event, which takes place this Saturday at the Innisfil, Ontario oval, has attracted nine talented trotters. The main event is carded as Race 10 on the 11-race program.

Natural Herbie, who has stamped himself as one of the dominant top class trotters at Hoosier Park this season, will start from Post 2 in Saturday’s rich tilt. Fresh off his 1:51.4 score in the Vincennes Free-For-All Trot on Hambletonian Day at The Meadowlands, the four-year-old son of Here Comes Herbie-Ljanearl will shoot for his eighth win of the season for owner/trainer/driver Verlin Yoder of Bell, Florida. The gelding is quickly closing in on $500,000 in career earnings.

Standing between him and the winner’s circle will be this year’s Maple Leaf Trot champ, Intimidate (Post 8). Last year’s O’Brien Award winner as Canada’s Older Trotting Horse of the Year was a disappointing eight in his latest outing in the John Cashman, Jr. Memorial. Rick Zeron has been recruited to drive the Luc Blais trainee. The five-year-old son of Justice Hall-Fabulous Tag is a 24-time winner and a career earner in excess of $950,000.

The suddenly-surging R Raised Emotions (Post 1) enters the fray fresh off a career-best clocking of 1:52.3. The trotting son of Kadabra is riding a three-race winning streak for Team Baillargeon.

Recent winners in WEG’s Preferred Trot like Charmed Life (Post 3), Swan In A Million (Post 4), Flanagan Memory (Post 6) and Daylon Magician (Post 9) will also grace the star-studded field of square gaiters.

Saturday’s undercard will feature five OSS Grassroots divisions for two-year-old pacing fillies. Post time for the first race is 7:15 p.m.
