RUS America, an advocacy group for racing under saddle in the United States, is announcing they are currently hosting a membership drive.
The membership drive is for Standardbred owners, trainers, existing and potential riders (including drivers), and fans interested in supporting RUS and keeping abreast of the latest news regarding racing under saddle in the United States and RUS America itself. Membership is free. To become a member, visit the RUS America website (rusamerica.info) to register.
In addition to keeping abreast with the latest developments, your membership will allow RUS America to identify areas underserved by local organizations, introduce people to local RUS groups, have the ability to connect trainers with riders, and connect those interested in participating with those who could serve as mentors. Members have the ability to vote for officers each year.
RUS America, is an advocacy group whose mission is to promote racing under saddle for trotters which aims to strengthen harness racing by increasing the fan and ownership base of the Standardbred sport via RUS. RUS America’s vision is for RUS to complement traditional harness racing, not supplant it, with a long-term goal of having wagering on RUS races wherever harness racing is conducted.
