Seven three-year-old pacing colts were entered today (Thursday) for the Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Elimination scheduled to be contested on Sunday, August 19 at Rideau Carleton Raceway.
The OSS rules state that if there are not more horses entered in the elimination than can compete in the final, the elimination will be cancelled and all horses will be considered declared directly into the final to be held the following week.
Therefore, the Gold Elimination for three-year-old pacing colts scheduled for August 19 at Rideau Carleton is cancelled.
The Gold Final will be held on Sunday, August 26 as scheduled and the post positions will be drawn on Sunday, August 19, when the Final would normally have been drawn.
According to OSS rules concerning the points for the Super Final, the 100 points from the cancelled elimination will be distributed equally between the seven horses that entered the event.
