Horseman Richard H. Scott, 64, of Cookeville, Tenn., passed away on August 9 at his residence.
Scott was born September 15, 1950, in Cookeville, the son of Beatrice (Madewell) Scott and the late Billy Scott.
He spent most of his life travelling and training Standardbreds, which was an expertise that he was well known for all over the eastern United States, having many winning horses.
He was a loving son, brother, and friend and a wonderful gourmet cook.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Barbara; nephew, Shaun; and great-nephews, Hayden and Collen Lewis.
