Pocono Downs today announced what first-race post time will be for its Saturday, October 9 card when it hosts

the Breeders Crown races.

The first-race post time will be 5:00 p.m.

This year’s Breeders Crown will be the richest in the history of the sport since Pocono will be the first racetrack to host all 12 events on a single day.

More than $7 million in purses, including elimination races, will be at stake. There will be elimination races for the Breeders Crown the previous week.

Pocono will have open seating for some 4,000 fans on 'Crown Day,' when one lucky fan will be going home with a 2010 red Corvette convertible with a sticker price of more than $70,000, courtesy of Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs and Valley Chevrolet of Wilkes-Barre.

Patrons can receive an entry form for the car by attending the live or simulcast races daily.
