Standardbred Canada has a job opening for a full-time PC Technician at its main office, located in
Mississauga, Ont.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting hardware and software problems for all in-house and track PCs
- Upgrading hardware and software, when instructed, for all Standardbred Canada PCs
- Assisting with user education on various PC software products
Requirements
- Working knowledge of PCs (Windows 98, XP, Vista, Windows7 and Windows servers)
- Be able to demonstrate that they can troubleshoot hardware and software problems
- Have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Adobe Pagemaker/Indesign
- Fluent in English with good oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Apple Macintosh computers would be an asset
- Must be flexible in working in an environment that is open seven days a week, 24 hours a day (on call)
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- A computer/technical diploma or similar
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle
- Knowledge of TCP/IP
- Some basic web development may be available to the right candidate
