The Racetracks of Ontario Marketing and Promotions (ROMP) committee will be unveiling the “Mascot Road Show” at Grand River Raceway this Monday

as part of the Industry Day festivities.

Mascots from four racetracks as well as Trot 4 Kids very own Willie Win; will be competing in a Mascot Race Series to be held at racetracks across Ontario. The Mascot with the highest point standing at the end of the five race series will be crowned the 2009 Champion. ROMP hopes this series will become an annual tradition with Mascots returning yearly to defend their titles.

Post time for Industry Day is 2:00 p.m. and the mascot race is set to go postward after race three (approx. 2:45 p.m.) Mascots will be on hand prior to the race for a meet and greet with the public as well as photo opportunities.

We’ve attached a program page with profiles on each of the contenders for Monday’s initial race of the series. Spectators on hand at Industry Day will be able to get up close and personal with the Mascots and are encouraged to cheer on their favourite during the race.
