Tioga Hosting NYSS Fillies Thursday

Tioga Downs will welcome four divisions of the New York Sire Stakes for two-year-old trotting fillies on Thursday (July 4).

In the first division, which will feature a purse of $26,500, the 9-5 morning line favouritism has been awarded to Really Blue Chip (to be driven by Marcus Miller). The filly is owned by Thestable Really Bluechip and is trained by Scott Di Domenico. The daughter of Credit Winner-Muscles won a leg of the NYSS at Buffalo Raceway in her only start. The second choice at 2-1 is Without A Warning (Scott Zeron). The filly by RC Royalty-Concentration is owned by Raymond Campbell and trained by George Ducharme. She was second in the NYSS at Buffalo in her first start.

The morning line favourite in the $26,500 second division is Love A good Story (Troy Beyer) at 6-5. The filly by Chapter Seven-Celebrity Lovin won her only start in a leg of the NYSS at Buffalo. She is owned by Kentuckiana Racing Stable and trained by Julie Miller. Seventimesalady (Ake Svanstedt) is the second morning line choice at 9-2. The filly by Chapter Seven-Ava Marion is owned by Little E LLC, Knuttson Trotting Inc., and trainer Svanstedt. She will be making her first start on Thursday.

In the third division, which will feature a purse of $27,000, the Blake MacIntosh-trained Hushabye (Brian Sears) is the 2-1 morning line favourite. The filly by Chapter Seven-Banbury Cross is owned by MacIntosh, S L Heimbecker, Mortgage Boys Stable, and Hushabye Stables. She is one for one with a NYSS win at Buffalo. The second choice at 3-1 is Senorita Rita (Scott Zeron), who will be participating in her first career race. The filly by Chapter Seven-Lindys Head Nurse is trained by Linda Toscano for owner Kenneth Jacobs.

In the final division, which will feature a purse of $26,500, the 7-5 morning line choice is Sorprese (Dan Daley). The filly by Conway Hall-Isabella Gal bested the field in the NYSS at Buffalo in her only start. She is trained by Daley for owners James Crawford IV, Ann Mari Daley and Crawford Farms Racing. The co-second choice at 4-1 is Illdoitmyself (Scott Zeron). The filly by Chapter Seven-Domello is owned by Van Camp Trotting Corp., James Walker, and trainer Rick Zeron. She was second best in the NYSS at Buffalo. The second morning line selection (4-1) is Smooth Affair (Tyler Buter). The Chris Oakes-trained filly by Conway Hall-Identity is owned by Northfolk Racing Stable. She has recorded a second-place finish after two starts this season.

The 15-race card will get underway at 1:00 p.m.
