Hanover Raceway will feature 12 races this Saturday (August 1), including the $75,100 final of the Dream Of Glory Trot, five Ontario Sires Stakes divisions for three-year-old pacing fillies and a pair of Preferred 3 races.

The 14th annual Dream Of Glory Trot will feature new track record holder Hemi Seelster, who won his elimination in 1:56.4, breaking the previous record that was set by millionaire Abbey Road C in the very first Dream Of Glory in 2002.

Hemi Seelster is trained by John Bax of Campbellville and driven by Steve Byron. The duo has won the Dream Of Glory final twice before. The pair won the 2009 final with Augusto, and won again in 2012 with Summer Indian. Summer Indian came back the next year and won a match race against 2011 Dream Of Glory winner Traverse Seelster.

The OSS field includes two Gold horses that are dropping down to the Grassroots level and several horses in a battle to try and gain points to make the field for the OSS Super Finals this fall.

Code One Hanover highlights Race 3. The John Darling-trained filly is currently fifth in the Grassroots standings after having recorded a 1:52.3 win at Georgian Downs in her last start. Race 3 also includes Dublin Rose, who is ninth in the Gold standings after a third-place finish in 1:52.3 and a 1:52.2 win in an OSS Grassroots event at Mohawk Racetrack in her last start. Code One Hanover will start from Post 3 while Dublin Rose will start from Post 5 in what should be a very exciting race.

Other notable OSS starters on Saturday include Ainsleynoelle, who is currently fourth in the Grassroots standings after having recently recorded a 1:53.2 win in a Grassroots division at Mohawk. She will start from Post 7 in Race 4 on Saturday.

Dream Of Glory day includes a BBQ and live band starting at 5:30 p.m. Retired Standardbred Westgate Son and rider Taylor Fritz will be on hand to meet fans along the fence between races, and there will be a huge fireworks display after the races.

The live card will kick off with a 6:15 p.m. first-race post time.
