Poker Tourney To Benefit SRF

Seats are still available for the first Hambletonian Charity Poker Tournament to be held Wednesday, August 1 at Il Villaggio Restaurant in Carlstadt, New Jersey.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Standardbred Retirement Foundation and the Harness Racing Museum and Hall Of Fame.

The poker tournament buy-in is $100 and includes drink tickets. The chip leader will receive a three-night, four-day trip for two to Las Vegas, courtesy of Roberts Communications, which includes round-trip airfare, first-class hotel accommodations, show tickets to different productions and a $300 per day dining credit. The runner-up will receive an IPad, while third-place prize is an ITouch.

The tournament begins at 6 p.m. A dinner ticket is not required to play poker. Casino Night dinner tickets are $125 per person and include dinner, dessert, open bar, music and dancing and $50 in casino chips. Additional casino chips may also be purchased through the night. Dinner and open bar begin at 5:30 p.m. Walk-ups are welcome. The unique list of prizes includes tickets to a 2012 Yankees game in Brian Cashman’s suite, with food and beverage and a signed baseball.
