Anchored by a strong middle market that offers ‘something for everyone,’ the Meadowlands Summer Mixed Sale is set to get underway this Sunday (July 31) at noon in the racetrack’s back paddock.
The supplement catalogue is now available for download at tattersallsredmile.com, as is an updated past performances booklet. Both are also available using the Equineline Sales Catalog app for the iPad.
The print version of the supplement and updated racelines will also be sent via overnight delivery to major racetracks and training centres in both the U.S. and Canada.
The Summer Mixed, the final sale of the year on the Meadowlands calendar, has 148 racehorses catalogued, plus a supplement of 24 head.
“Through yesterday there have been more than 20 sale horses that have won just since the catalogue,” said sale manager David Reid. “This is the kind of sale where a buyer can pay a fair price for a quality horse, win some races, and have some fun.”
There are 47 two-year-olds in the sale that include a number of winners and stakes-calibre youngsters, as well as some that are just getting their racing careers underway.
“That number of two-year-olds is the most we’ve sold in the spring or summer," Reid said. “Horsemen should take a good look at them, as they’re going to be impressed at their overall quality and the strength of their pedigrees.”
