RUS MidAtlantic would like to announce the races tentatively scheduled for Woodstock, VA and Frederick, MD will be replaced with racing under saddle demonstrations.
The demonstrations will take place between the second and third races at the Shenandoah County Fair on September 2 as well as the Great Frederick Fair on September 23. Individuals from RUS MidAtlantic will be available to answer questions for those attending either event, including details on how one can get involved in the exciting sport. Post time at Woodstock is 1 p.m., while Frederick's first post is set for noon.
In addition to racing, the Great Frederick Fair will have a Standardbred horse show on September 23 from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the Outdoor Equine Arena.
Partial reimbursement for travel/shipping expenses will be available to horsepeople participating in the RUS demonstrations. For further information regarding participating in these demonstrations, contact one of the officers/board members of RUS MidAtlantic.
A note to those participating in the RUS MidAtlantic series: qualifers will be offered at Ocean Downs on August 10 only.
