The Bill Galvin Racing Alliance and Clinton Raceway are teaming up to introduce new fans to the thrill of harness racing with a special VIP Experience on Sunday, Aug. 17.
Fifty lucky winners — all first-time racing attendees — will be selected to enjoy this exclusive race day experience, each with a guest by their side.
The VIP guests will be hosted in a trackside tent for an afternoon of exciting live racing, with local racing personality Rick Rier emceeing the event. Throughout the day, guests will receive tips on reading a race program and basic handicapping to help them follow the action.
Each VIP package includes:
- Complimentary lunch for winners and their guests
- A $10 betting voucher per person
- Behind-the-scenes access, including paddock tours, rides in the starting gate car
- Rides in a double seated jog cart
- Meet-and-greet opportunities with drivers
- A chance to participate in a Winner’s Circle presentation
VIP guests will also have a chance to win $1,000!
“This exciting event is all about welcoming newcomers to the sport in a fun, relaxed, and memorable way that will hopefully encourage them to return to the races with family and friends,” said Karen Hauver, BGRA founding director.
The BGRA encourages harness racing participants to pass this info along to anyone that qualifies. If you are an Ontario resident; 18 years of age or older; have never been to the races as an adult and can get to Clinton Raceway on Aug. 17, 2025, you are eligible to fill out a ballot for a chance to participate in this special day.
Ballots must be received by midnight of July 31 and the 50 winning entrants will be selected by Aug. 4.
