A reminder has been issued in regard to the draw for the $250,000 Spirit of Massachusetts Trot and/or the $100,000 Clara Barton Distaff Pace that will be held at Plainridge Park on Sunday (July 28).
The draw for both races will be held on Thursday (July 25).
Please be sure to call your entries into the race office at 508-576-4485 or 508-576-4486 by 9 a.m. when the box closes.
Also please note there will be a detention barn for both the Spirit of Massachusetts and Clara Barton races and all horses for both events must be checked in prior to 9 p.m. on Saturday evening (July 27).
All horses racing at Plainridge Park must be accompanied by a current 2019 Coggins, health certificate and evidence of EVH-1 vaccine in order to enter the barn area.
All owners, trainers, drivers and grooms must have a current Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) license. The MGC office located adjacent to the paddock entrance, will be open from noon to 5 p.m. weekdays as well as on Sunday (July 28) from mid-morning on. There you can obtain your license and ID tag prior to entering the barn area.
The special Sunday afternoon Spirit of Massachusetts card has an early post time of 2 p.m.
