Officials with Vernon Downs have announced that the Fourth of July will commence Thursday racing at the seven-eighths-mile track.
Vernon Downs will be racing on Thursdays for the next seven weeks starting this Thursday. The Thursday cards will continue until August 15. The programs will kick off with first-race post time of 6:10 p.m.
This Thursday’s nine-race card will be followed by a large fireworks display.
