Due in large part to a 45-1 sequence-buster, Yonkers Raceway’s Tuesday night Pick 5 wager – and its $10,000 guaranteed pool – was not hit.
Therefore, the track’s Pick 5 wager on Thursday, July 4 will feature a $25,000 guaranteed pot and a $7,500 carryover.
The Pick 5 is a 50-cent base wager offered on races five through nine nightly. It has no consolation payoff, meaning if no one selects all five winners (as was the case Tuesday), the entire pool (minus takeout) moves to the next racing program.
