Dave Yarock, a financial planner and amateur driver, who for the past four years has coordinated the Edward Yarock/Edward Weiner Equine Scholarship Fund for students studying in the equine field and/or for children of employees in the industry .
“Our scholarship funds, which began in 2008, honours the memories of my father Edward Yarock and my stepfather, Dr. Edward Weiner,” Yarock said. “They were both kind hearted and empathetic and inspirational to the people they came I contact with.
“We wish to congratulate all the winners and wish them well in their academic pursuits,” Yarock added.
The Edward Weiner and Edward Yarock Scholarship Fund is pleased to announce its 2012 recipients. It was a year of record applicants and the process of choosing winners was extremely difficult. Over $12,500 was raised and the recipients are as follows:
