Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, in conjunction with the Hambletonian Society, recently announced the launch of the official 2017 Breeders Crown merchandise line for the 2017 Breeders Crown events at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, which will take place on October 27 and 28.
The collection, which includes premium branded products from a variety of apparel and accessory vendors, is available at Hoosier Park’s Shelby’s Gifts. Select items are also available online via the Hambletonian Society's website (hambletonian.com). Shelby’s Gifts at Hoosier Park is open daily from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with an added hour of shopping until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
The initial offerings include tee shirts, jackets, glassware and hats, with new items being introduced in the coming months.
“Offering a wide variety of merchandise to highlight the biggest event in harness racing is very exciting for us,” said Angelique Boyle, Hoosier Park’s director of retail operations. “Our intention was to create something very special for racing fans who appreciate the spirit and history of the Breeders Crown and who are excited for it to come to Hoosier Park in 2017.”
The Breeders Crown, harness racing’s annual series of 12 championship events valued at $6 million, is returning to the Midwest for the first time in more than three decades and for the very first time on Indiana soil at Hoosier Park. Hoosier Park’s seven-eighths mile track, which opened in 1994 and is owned by Centaur Gaming, is the 31st racetrack to host the Breeders Crown.

Live racing at Hoosier Park will follow a Tuesday through Saturday schedule and be conducted through November 17. With a daily post time of 6:30 pm, the 163-day season will be highlighted by the 34th edition of the Breeders Crown on Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28.
